Dr. Michael E. Thiele
Dr. Michael Thiele is a native of International Falls, MN. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota where his major courses of study were biology and chemistry. Dr. Mike is a Doctoral Graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where he was the Vice President of his class and served on the Student Affairs Committee.
Dr. Mike maintains on-staff status at both the Lifecare Medical Hospital in Roseau, MN, and the Lakewood Hospital in Baudette, MN.
Dr. Mike is committed to Continuing Dental Education usually taking twice the number of credits required by the State of Minnesota. Dr. Mike is committed to bringing you the finest in dental care. With over 30 years of experience in providing care for people, Dr. Mike is well-versed in ALL areas of Family Dentistry. His special areas of interest are Orthodontics (Braces) and oral surgery.
Dr. Mike retired from full-time dentistry on December 31, 2023, after nearly 40 years of service to patients in northern Minnesota!

Dr. Mark B. Thiele
Dr. Mark Thiele was born and raised in Warroad, MN. He graduated from Warroad High School and attended the University of Minnesota Duluth where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology.
After college, Dr. Mark taught high school chemistry, physical science and environmental science at Warroad High School prior to his acceptance to the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
While in dental school Dr. Mark was Vice President of his dental class, a member of the Student Affairs Committee, Clinical Affairs Committee, Student Council, and President of a local chapter of a dental fraternity, Psi Omega Zeta Kappa.
Dr. Mark has taken many continuing education courses that focus on endodontics, implant dentistry, sleep apnea, orthodontics, sports dentistry, esthetics, and surgery among many others. By having these courses Dr. Mark and the Lake Family Dental team are well-suited to treat the diverse needs of patients in Northern Minnesota.
Dr. Mark took over ownership of Lake Family Dental in May of 2023.
